Possibility of operating all flights on electricity is being explored and Norway will become the first county in the world to have all electric flights operating in domestic zone including other Scandinavian countries.
Norway has set Year 2040 as the deadline for all electric flights at least the domestic ones.
Chief executive Dag Falk-Peterson of Avinor, the public operator of Norwegian airports said “we think and wish to make all flights lasting up to 1.5 hours electric so that it becomes a solution and not a problem for the environment”.
This way the cost of operating flights will almost be halved resulting in nose diving of ticket price. People will travel more and will have more fun.
Norway is the largest oil and gas producer in Western Europe but is equally focused on transport sector and is a world leader in electric transport.
Falk-Peterson told the media that use of intermediary technologies, such as bio fuels and hybrid fuel would be a challenge. These challenges need to be addressed for making electric flights successful.

It is now possible with the launch of seaplane in India that will take its maiden flight from Varanasi, the constituency of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. Varanasi is a town in Uttar Pradesh where river Ganga flows along its shores.
Amphibious aircraft can take off and land on both short strips and water bodies. Amphibious aircrafts are slower and heavier but are more versatile than the usual land planes. They could be slightly tricky to manoeuvre as these planes, unlike helicopters, cannot hover in the same place and cannot land vertically.
Spicejet chairman Ajay Singh told times of India newspaper “I was aiming to start flights with amphibious plane in 2018 and Varanasi could be the launchpad for this service. Each seaplane costs about $5 million and I am planning for at least 100 such seaplanes.
Many states in India have approached for this service so that the states could have better connectivity.
Many places have been identified for deploying seaplanes and include Andaman, Lakshadweep, the northeast states, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
India has shortage of airport infrastructure and hence these amphibian planes will be great help in improving transport infrastructure as they can land and take off just from anywhere. This will be helpful for last mile connectivity and these planes open up a lot of areas and create a lot of flexibility.
First road test of Bloodhound SSC (supersonic car) is being launched at Newquay airfield in Cornwall, UK. This will be launched after intensive experiment of about 9 years. Experiment started on Oct 28, 2007.
The Bloodhound will be launched on Thursday (26th Oct 2017).
This pencil shaped amazing car will reach a maximum speed of 320 Kmph over 2.7 Km runway. The speed is expected to skyrocket to somewhere 1609 Kmph which will be @4X than the speed of some of the reputed present day racing cars like Porsche, Lamborghini, and Ferrari. Currently these sports cars have speed of 400-500 Kmph.
This project is aimed at setting new record of land speed of 1000 Kmph and also to inspire next generation about science, technology, mathematics and engineering.
The car is 13.4 meters long weighing 7.5 tonnes and has 135,000 horsepower engine powered by EJ200 from a Eurofighter Typhoon.
This car will zoom 0-1609 Kmph in 55 seconds.
Earlier the record was set by Thrust supersonic car having speed @ 1228 Kmph. The test was done by Wing Commander Andy Green in 1997.
Bloodhound will also be tested by Green.

A British company Ascension Flights is planning to launch its first Ascension aircraft into the space that will cost UK pound 795(INR 68,000) onwards.
The company was set up by two graduates from University of Sheffield, UK and spent last few years in experimenting by sending hundreds of items into the space.
The remains will go up 36km (22 miles) and will be scattered on the outer atmosphere of Earth. HD video will be made so that family and friends can see the process in the space since you cannot go there.
The Ascension 1 aircraft is a payload box fitted with camera, a tracking device and release mechanism. Camera will shoot two and half hour HD video and release mechanism will release the attached balloon that will open and scatter the ashes and parachute will bring back the canister to Earth.
When the ashes are released from the balloon, the winds of stratosphere will spread the particles out across the planet. This will be released in such a way that it will not return on Earth and will have no impact on air pollution.
The launch will take place in the company’s South Yorkshire base.
Pet funerals are also on offer.
Flights will be authorized by Civil Aviation Ministry.
Though we will not be able to experience this but we can fulfill our beloved’s dreams.

Motor federation has come with a new device “Halo” which is extra protection on the helmets worn by car racers.

The customer wishing to see the car has to use touch screen installed on the ground floor. The moment touch screen is pressed, the selected car comes on the ground floor in 1-2 minutes.
